Sesame seeds

From their fragrance and the characteristic toasted flavour of sesame seeds, they generously lend themselves to an appetiser or snack using traditionally bread-paired dishes without preference; from cheese to cured meats, cold cuts and vegetables. Be sure to try them with a creamy gorgonzola and a glass of Passito di Pantelleria or a Gewurztraminer from Alto Adige, or else with a spicy gorgonzola and Amarone wine.

Also goes well with ossocollo salami or spiced Italian pancetta combined with a good aromatic wine, such as a Sauvignon or Traminer.

For finishers, dip them in linden flower or orange blossom honey accompanied by blue cheese and Romandolo Verduzzo.
